
The purpose of the given article is to define the ways and means of high school students' multicultural competence formation in the course of the foreign language and literature studying. On the basis of the analysis of teaching a foreign language and literature home and foreign experiences, the author concludes that studying Russian and foreign literature and folklore in a teacher's training high school provides with unique multicultural world outlook potential and creates the necessary base for a person's multicultural consciousness formation.
Цель данной статьи определить пути и средства формирования поликультурной компетенции у студентов вузов в процессе изучения иностранного языка и литературы. На основе анализа отечественного и зарубежного опытов преподавания иностранного языка и литературы, автор делает вывод, что изучение отечественной и зарубежной художественной литературы и фольклора в педагогическом вузе обладает уникальным поликультурно-мировоззренческим потенциалом и создает необходимую базу для формирования поликультурного самосознания личности.
