Abstract

Exploration criteria and indications, reflecting regularities of the processes of ore formation, are the basis of forecast of useful mineral deposits. The universal characteristic of this process for deposits of many types is deformable tension of the geological environment. For its study along with traditional methods of tectonophysics a method of tectonophysical analyses of gravitational field may be used. It is based on functional dependences between characteristics of deformation field, caused by the density inhomogeneity of the environment, and gravitational field characteristics. The method was applied to investigation of deformable tension of the geological environment of Novo-Shemursky copper-pyrite deposit. It has been established that the variability of the stress tensor (deformation) is stable being characteristic feature of deposits.
