Every nation has its own system of myths that explains and justifies the essence, the present and even the future of the set or inconstant world and the role and place of an individual in it as well as the role and place of a particular ethnic community in the world-building. In modern ethno-political processes ethno-political myths form the basis of fundamental ideological mechanisms, manipulate and control group interests and initiatives. As one can see, historical myth was greatly flourishing during the recent years, mainly due to significantly increased demand for ethno-political myths that arise from powerful ethnicity explosions in different parts of the world. The author makes an attempt to probe into the genesis and current status of ethno-political myths in the modern world as well as in the development of an ethnic nation.
