Abstract

There are much more scientific studies of psychosocial resources in cardiac patients presented in modern psychological and medical literature than studies of risk factors that reflect a clear underestimation of the role of resource component in treatment and prevention of cardiac pathology. The described psychological personality resources can be divided into intrapersonal (stress tolerance, hardiness, psychological defenses, coping, faith etc.) and interpersonal (social support, social contacts, caring for the family etc.).
