Abstract

This article represents an attempt to shed light on the Russian public opinion on the policy of the Russian tsarist government in Persia at the time of the Persian revolution. The chronological framework under consideration is the period of 1905-1909 with 1905 being a year of the beginning of the Persian revolution and 1909 a year when Russia and Great Britain changed their non-interference policy to the direct armed intervention in Persia.
