Abstract
This thesis provides an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Space Systems, with comments regarding their integration. The survey of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is based upon a review of its history, its philosophical development, and subcategories of its current technologies. These subcategories are Expert Systems (ES), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, and Robotics and Autonomous Vehicles.
