Abstract

The experience of disturbed lands forest reclamation on mountain slopes near copper-melting (works) has been analysed in the paper. It has been established experimentally that reclamation could be carried out by the method of slope terracing and creating cultures of hanging birch (Betula pendula Roth.) and scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) on the terraces. Forest reclamation effectiveness can be increased by applying a soil layer or a sewage sludge on the terrace surface as well as by Russian broom sowing (Chamalcytisus ruthenicus (Fisch. Et Woloszcz) Klaskova), seabuckthorn (Hippophaë rhamnoides L.) and honeysuckle (Lonicera caerulea L.). © 2020 Izdatel'stvo Kalvis. All rights reserved. (Lonicera caerulea L.).
