Abstract
The study determined the relationship of emotional intelligence (EI) and work performance of nurses in a privately owned Level 2 General Hospital in Central Visayas. The study helped the administration in their organization to develop and explore the concept of EI to ensure high level of performance resulting in increased achievement of organizational and individual goals. The study utilized the descriptive-correlational survey method of research to determine EI and its effect on work performance.
