Abstract
<jats:p>Let <jats:italic>ƒ(x)</jats:italic> be a given function of a variable <jats:italic>x</jats:italic>. We shall suppose that <jats:italic>ƒ(x)</jats:italic> is a one-valued <jats:italic>analytic</jats:italic> function, so that its Taylor's expansion in any part of the plane of the complex variable <jats:italic>x</jats:italic> can be derived from its Taylor's expansion in any other part of the plane by the process of analytic continuation.</jats:p>
