Abstract
The theme of the bachelor’s thesis is Aetiological myth in Apollonius Rhodius' poem Argonautica: significance in the poem poetics. The aim is to explore role of the aetiological myth and its conformity to literature of hellenistic period, and its significance in the poem poetics. Aetiological myths are myths, which explain origins of natural and cultural phenomena. Aetiological myth could be any legend, which is connected with emergence of different geographical names, formation of mountains, seas or places.
