Viscous magnetic droplets that are obtained by destabilization of ferrofluid using sodium chloride are considered in this work. Transformations of their shapes in low frequency rotating magnetic field are experimentally observed. Quantitative analysis of their dynamics is done at different parameters of rotating magnetic field. Using methods of image processing, physical parameters that characterise hydrodynamic and magnetic properties of magnetic droplets are obtained. It allows for a comparison between experimentally obtained results and existing theoretical models.
Tiek apskatīti viskozi magnētiskie pilieni, kas iegūti, destabilizējot ferrošķidrumu ar nātrija hlorīdu. Eksperimentāli ir novērotas to formu transformācijas zemfrekvences rotējošā magnētiskā laukā. Kvantitatīvi analizēta pilienu dinamika pie dažādiem rotējošā magnētiskā lauka parametriem. Izmantojot attēlu apstrādes metodes, tiek iegūti fizikālie parametri, kas raksturo magnētisko pilienu hidrodinamiskās un magnētiskās īpašības. Tas dod iespēju iegūtos rezultātus salīdzināt ar esošajiem teorētiskajiem modeļiem.

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
