Hodnocení tykví (Cucurbita maxima, Cucurbita moschata) v systému ekologického zemědělství

Abstract

The literary part describes the origin of organic farming, its methods, principles and the current state of development in the Czech Republic. Ecological and conventional production were compared in terms of its impact on ingredients and other parameters. Part of the work was devoted to mulching and its effects on cultivated plants. The last part of the literature search described the economically important species of pumpkins in our region, the method of their cultivation and nutritional significance. In the experimental part, two types of pumpkins (C. maxima and C. moschata) were evaluated in the representation of 3 varieties (‘Solor F1’; ‘Amoro F1’ and ‘Laura) using two mulching materials of straw and black PE mulching fabric. The harvested fruits were analyzed for vitamin C, dry matter, carbohydrates, crude fiber and total carotenoids. In addition, the number of fruits, their weight and total yield were monitored. The obtained data were then statistically evaluated. A statistically significant difference between the varieties (with the exception of vitamin C) was found in all monitored factors. In the case of mulch, a significant difference was found only in the weight of the fruit and the total yield.
