From Thin Films to Monolayer, A Systematic Approach for BTBT Based Organic Field Effect Transistors

Abstract
This work focuses on theoretical and experimental understanding of how low-voltage organic field effect transistors based on BTBT ([1] benzothieno[3,2-b][1]benzothiophene) operate. The focus is in deducing the electrical and interfacial landscape in the device, while using ultra-thin hybrid layers of AlOx/SAM (Self-Assembled Monolayer) as a dielectric. This thesis proposes a systematic study on an optimum solution for facing challenges in molecular and device properties.
