Abstract

The review deals with perinatal hypoxic damage to the central nervous system in the neonate - one of the important medical-social problems. The review presents modern views on the mechanisms of development, histological and pathophysiological changes in the hypoxic damage to the central nervous system. Further perspectives of studying gene polymorphism in children with this disease for the prognostication and improvement of preventive and therapeutic measures are discussed.
