Abstract

The article presents a historically consistent description of the formation of European etiquette in the Middle Ages as an important component of the life of the nobility (upper strata of society). The genesis of etiquette in the Middle Ages laid a very important basis for the further development of social relations between the ruling classes, which formed the newest class in the development of European life - the bourgeoisie.
