Gömülü Esnek Borularda Gerilme Analizi

Abstract

Performing a comprehensive analysis of stress of the buried pipes under the external forces which are used vastly for many aims is important. In this study, the stress analysis of buried flexible pipes whose cross-secitonal area is circular ring is realized without internal pressure using the method of photoelasticity. For this purpose, Araldite ring produced as the model of the cross-section of the pipe has been loaded into two different fields by set-ups designed specially. The load over the pipe consists of the effects of the force of weight of the burying field and external forces applied on the surface of this field. The first of the field is a polyethylene sheet assuming that the burying field is a continuous media. In the second set-up, araldite ring has been tested embedding into a type of real soil. The distributions of the difference of the principal stresses are obtained along the inner and outer edge by the photoelastic fringes which have been occured on the models.
