
The publication compares the syntactic models formed by the Belarusian verbal predicate смяяцца, including archaisms and dialectisms. Thanks to the contrastive approach, syntactic specificity was revealed when comparing two sections of the Belarusian literary language – synchronous (beginning of the 20th century) and diachronic (beginning of the 21st century). The dialect material of Russian-Belarusian (Smolensk) transitional dialects is also included in the intralingual comparison. New types of Laughing Man have been identified
В публикации сопоставляются синтаксические модели, образованные белорусским глагольным предикатом смяяцца, включая архаизмы и диалектизмы. Благодаря контрастивному подходу выявлена синтаксическая специфика при сопоставлении двух срезов белорусского литературного языка – синхронного (начало XX в.) и диахронного (начало XXI в.).
