The bacteria from the genus Pseudomonas are vascular, including several pathogenic species as Pseudomonas syringae who cause the bacterial canker. This disease usually lead the fruit trees to death. Currently, the means of fighting against P. syringae are reduced or nonexistent. So, alternative methods or the role of some elements as ground-cover are under study. On the assumption of ground-cover is a source of inoculum of P. syringae, the goal of this internship is to know if the ground-cover play a role in the development of the bacterial canker in Apricot orchards.
