Abstract
This work aimed to analyze the Childhood depressive disorder from the Achenbach and Edelbrocks' (1983) model of empirical taxonomies. Several differential aspects of the diagnostic of depressive disorder in children and adults were reviewed. A clinical sample of 208 children between 6 and 12 years old took part in this study. Their parent filled in the Childhood Clinical Inventory (ICI) adapted both from the Achenbach and Edelbrocks' (1983) Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL) and the Conners' parent scale.
