This paper reports the concept and the results of static monitoring system installed on the historic church of St. Mary at Škrilinah in Beram (Istria, Croatia). The church is dating from the 13th century and is decorated with famous mural paintings, painted by the master Vicent of Kastav in the 15th century. The monitoring system was a part of comprehensive conservation and restoration works that started because the church was partially damaged due to substantial landslides in its immediate vicinity. Installed monitoring system consisted of a total of ten sensors, eight of them were measuring displacements - crack openings and two were used for temperature and humidity monitoring. Aim of the monitoring system was to define the real behaviour of damaged church in serviceability state in order to detect crucial rehabilitation elements .
