ON SOME ASPECTS OF THE INFLUENCE OF LOCAL FEATURES AND HISTORICAL TRADITIONS ON THE IMAGE OF A TERRITORY (BASED ON THE MATERIALS OF THE ALTAI REGION AND THE CITY OF BARNAUL)

Abstract

The authors of the article are lucky to live in one of the most remarkable regions included in the 89 subjects of the Russian Federation — Altai Krai. At the same time, our region is often briefly called by one word — «Altai». However, this name fully applies to the Altai Republic, found in the territories of Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, which dictates the need to emphasize the uniqueness, local characteristics and features of the identity of our region. The reason for writing the article were significant events for the Altai Territory and its administrative center — the city of Barnaul in 2024 — the 85th anniversary of the representative authority of the region and the 30th anniversary of the representative body of the regional capital — the Barnaul City Duma of the modern (postSoviet) period. The purpose of this study was to continue studying the topic of the relationship between history and modernity in the process of managing the territories of regions and municipalities. Attention is focused on a number of aspects that influence the formation of the image of the region and the city of Barnaul, increasing the level of their socio-economic development and investment attractiveness. Based on the dynamic questionnaire survey, a comparative analysis of the survey results was conducted.
