
The article is based on the analysis of the existence of culture in the modern globalized world with its challenges and contradictions. Based on the materials of a number of International scientific conferences in 2020–2021, the authors reflect on the problems of cultural development (domestic and world), consider current sociocultural practices, as well as the realities and prospects of cultural studies. It is revealed that the problems of traditions and innovations, preservation of cultural and historical heritage, dialogue and polylogue of cultures, new aspects of cultural policy and transformation of artistic culture, in connection with the expansion of the media sphere, synthesis of cultural studies with other humanitarian disciplines remain relevant in the era of globalization and digitalization.
