Abstract

Zahlreiche Studien belegen, dass Plantago ovata-Samenschalen effektiv den Cholesterinspiegel senken. Hierbei sinkt vor allem das LDL-, nicht aber das HDL-Cholesterin. Eine Menge von 10 Gramm Plantago ovata-Samenschalen senkt das Cholesterin um 5 bis 10 Prozent. Optimal ist die Aufnahme von zwei- bis dreimal tAglich 5 Gramm Plantago ovata-Samenschalen zu den Mahlzeiten, in Kombination mit einer fettmodifizierten Kost reich an einfach ungesAttigten FettsAuren. Auch bei Kindern und Jugendlichen erweisen sich Plantago ovata-Samenschalen als sicheres und effektives Mittel zur Behandlung der HypercholesterinAmie. Im Vergleich zu medikamentOsen Massnahmen ist die ErnAhrungstherapie, unterstUtzt durch Plantago ovata-Samenschalen, kostengUnstiger und nicht mit negativen Nebenwirkungen behaftet. Daneben sind Plantago ovata-Samenschalen geeignet zum Einsatz bei zahlreichen gastrointestinalen Erkrankungen und senken den Blutglukose-Spiegel.
