
On the basis of lithological and petrographic studies of core material from 28 wells in the Sribnenskoy depression (central part of the Dnieper-Donetsk depression) lithogenetic transformations have been shown that occur in glibokosanuren (more than 5000 m) sandstones of the Lower Carboniferous. By the nature of structural and mineralogical transformations, secondary (post-sedimentation) processes of lithogenesis of terrigenous rocks-hydrocarbon reservoirs have been established and their influence on reservoir properties has been revealed.
