Brechas en la competencia digital del profesorado de educación infantil en el Perú

Abstract

El uso masivo de tecnologías de información y comunicación en educación ha implicado la necesidad de formación continua del profesorado en la adquisición de competencias digitales. El objetivo del estudio fue analizar el nivel de competencia digital docente (CDD) autopercibido por el profesorado de Educación Infantil en Perú y su asociación con variables sociodemográficas. Se sigue el método cuantitativo con una muestra significativa, hasta ahora novedosa, conformada por 3827 profesoras de educación infantil. Se utilizó el instrumento validado Digicomp Check In para medir la autopercepción sobre el nivel de CDD. Los resultados evidencian disparidades en el nivel de adquisición de las CDD, destacando valores altos en el área de Compromiso Profesional y Evaluación y Retroalimentación, puntuaciones medias en Recursos Digitales y Empoderar a los estudiantes y puntuaciones bajas en las áreas de Pedagogía Digital y Facilitar la Competencia Digital de los Estudiantes. En el análisis de variables como edad, años de experiencia, situación laboral, ámbito de trabajo se encuentran diferencias para el acceso al desarrollo de la CDD. También, el nivel de autopercepción de la CDD donde se ubican los docentes corresponde al nivel integrador de las TIC, que implica que las profesoras hacen pruebas del uso de la tecnología educativa y reflexionan sobre su utilidad en su práctica educativa. En conclusión, pese a los avances, se evidencia la permanencia de brechas para el acceso del profesorado de Educación Infantil al desarrollo de CDDs para la adecuada integración de la tecnología en las aulas de Educación Infantil en Perú.
