Contornos Sugestivos em Superf��cies Impl��citas

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta um sistema que combina superf��cies impl��citas, definidas a partir de nuvens densas de pontos, com rendering r��pido baseado em linhas. Concebemos um novo processo para extrair contornos sugestivos rapidamente, espalhando part��culas ao longo da superf��cie, que identificam ::.onas de interesse, e aplicando m��todos de c/ustering e encaixe de linhas. Adicionalmente, melhor��mos alguns dos m��todos mais recentes para extrair silhuetas e arestas, usando o poder descritivo da representa����o da superf��cie. Esta permite-nos obter heur��sticas para a determina����o r��pida de curvatura e tamb��m suporta a regenera����o local de elementos visuais em opera����es de edi����o da superf��cie. Apresentamos exemplos visuais que ilustram a alta qualidade dos desenhos obtidos com a nossa aplica����o, bem como o alto detalhe que ela consegue proporcionar para os modelos mais complexos, e tamb��m mostramos que os nossos tempos de processamento revelam um melhor desempenho comparativamente a outras abordagens semelhantes, para o mesmo n��mero de pontos.
