Abstract
<jats:p>&lt;p class="Default"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-US"&gt;Adsorption and corrosion inhibitive properties of ethanol extract of Dialium guineense leaves for mild steel in 0.5M HCl was studied using the gravimetric method. The results showed that the ethanol extract of &lt;em&gt;Dialium guineense&lt;/em&gt; leaves is a good corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 0.5 M HCl. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with increase in the concentration of ethanol extract of &lt;em&gt;Dialium guineense&lt;/em&gt; leaves up to the maximum of 92 %, but at the same time it decreased as the temperature was increased.
