Abstract
The power electronics device plays an important role in power system operation and control. The voltage instability and voltage collapse have been considered in present power system scenario due to over load condition. So transient stability development via optimal location and tuning of STATCOM (Static synchronous Compensator) is systematically investigated in this paper. The performance analysis of STATCOM has been implemented for Western Science Coordinated Council (WSCC) 9 bus system for the development of transient stability using Power System Analysis tool box (PSAT) software.
