Abstract
During the period that corresponds to the mixing dentition, great alterations in the dental archs occur. It is observed that it is an intense phase in the children’s growth and some alterations of normality can happen. Therefore, it is the odontopediatrician’s duty to diagnose and treat, whenever possible, the morphological and functional alterations which are characteristic of the dentition development.
