Abstract
Chemical Engineering is a very rich discipline and it is best classified using <b>S</b>ystem <b>T</b>heory (<b>ST</b>) and utilized using the <b>I</b>ntegrated <b>S</b>ystem <b>A</b>pproach (<b>ISA</b>). <b>E</b>nvironmental <b>E</b>ngineering (<b>EE</b>) is a subsystem of Chemical Engineering and also a subsystem of <b>S</b>ustainable <b>D</b>evelopment (<b>SD</b>). In this paper both <b>EE</b> and <b>SD</b> are discussed from a Chemical Engineering point of view utilizing <b>ST</b> and <b>ISA.</b>
