Abstract
This paper aims to present a learning and teaching sequence (LTS) of activities that approach the comic strip genre. These activities prepare students, who take part of the research, to produce a translation activity from some of Mafalda’s comic strips. It was applied to undergraduate students of a Portuguese-Spanish Language course at a Brazilian federal university in the first semester of 2015. According to the theoretical basis of Dolz, Noverraz and Schneuwly (2004), the LTS is structured in seven steps.
