Experimental study on mechanical properties of three steels

Abstract
Tensile properties of three steels named A, B, and C were investigated. The quasi-static experiments were carried out by using WDW-100D computer control testing machine while the high strain-rate experiments were testing by using the Split Hopkinson Tensile Bars (SHTB). The stress-strain curves of the materials were obtained, tensile strength, elongation, and energy dissipated were acquired. From the experimental results, the Jonson-Cook constitutive model was use to describe the behaviours of materials.
