The article assesses the impact of individual indicators characterizing the level of development of small business on indicators of the quality of life of the population. The system of statistical indicators for assessment is based on official statistics available to the authors for the Federal Districts of the Russian Federation in 2017. The purpose of the work is to verify the hypothesis of a correlation between the indicators of small business development and individual indicators characterizing the quality of life of the population on the basis of official statistics. To test the hypothesis about the relationship ofindicators, a linear pair correlation coefficient was used. To assess the statistical reliability of the results, Student t-test was used. As a result of the calculations, the following connections were proved: - between the number of small enterprises at the end of the year and the size of the total area of residential premises, per average per inhabitant; - the number of small enterprises per 10,000people and the average per capita cash income of the population, as well as the average monthly nominal accrued wages of employees of organizations; - the average number of employees and the size of the total area of residential premises, per average per inhabitant; - between the turnover of small enterprises and the average per capita cash income of the population, as well as the size of the total area of??residential premises, per average per inhabitant. - between the indicator of turnover per employee and the average per capita income of the population, as well as between the same indicator and the average monthly nominal accrued salary of employees of organizations. An assessment of the magnitude and direction of the identified relationships. It is proposed to use the findings to construct the corresponding multiple correlation equations for the purpose of sound planning of measures for the development of small business in individual regions.
