Abstract

RESUMO: Os autores fazem uma revisão sobre os empiemas de etiologia não tuberculosa abordando algumas particularidades de natureza diagnóstica e terapêutica.Terminam apresentando os resultados da análise de 39 processos clínicos de doentes intemados no Serviço de Pneumologia 4 do Hospital de Pulido Valente no período compreendido entre 1 de Janeiro de 1991 e 30 de Junho de 1995.Comentamse os resultados concluindo-se da importância de uma maior intervenção ao nivel do diagnístico bacteriológico e da abordagem cirúrgica.REV PORT PNEUMOL 1998; IV (2): 165-174 ABSTRACT: The authors review the non tuberculosis empyemas with particular emphasis to the diagnosis and therapy.
