Abstract

Las enfermedades a cadenas pesadas conforman una de las patologías que presentan como carcterística común en suero , en orina y en otros líquidos biológicos una proteína similar al fragmento Fc de algunas de las inmunoglobulinas. Hasta ahora se han descripto cuatro a saber: a) la que involucra a la IgG(enfermedad de Frankin); la que involucra a la IgA(enfermedad de Seligman);la que involucra a la IgM ; y la que involucra a la IgD ( caso no publicado). No se conocen hasta ahora enfermedad a cadenas pesadas IgE. Casi todas presentan difi cultad de diagnóstico clínico; suelen ser hallazgos de laboratorio cuando se estudia las proteínas séricas en algunos linfomas y/o sindromes linfoproliferativos. En el proteinograma electroforético (PE) pueden presentar un CM, o a veces aparecen como bandas anchas algo homogéneas entre la zona que va de las ¿ 2 hasta las ¿ rápida, debido a que éste tipo de proteínas tienen tendencia a formar polímeros por su alto contenido en glúcidos y su heterogeneidad aminoterminal.
