Abstract

El Dr. Karl Junkmann, Profesor de Endocrinología en la Universidad libre de Berlín, Miembro Correspondiente de la Sociedad Colombiana de Endocrinología, visitó a Bogotá en la segunda semana de Octubre del presente año, por lo cual tuvo lugar una reunión de tipo "mesa redonda" en la que nuevamente se pusieron de manifiesto la amplitud y la solidez de los conocimientos del Profesor, notable mundialmente por sus labores investigativas y docentes. Los temas principalmente tratados fueron los nor-esteroides, los anabólicos y las formas de absorción lenta en terapia hormonal. A fines del mismo mes tuvo lugar la visita del Dr. Robert B. Greenblatt, del Colegio Médico de Georgia, Estados Unidos, quien disertó sobre tratamiento del síndrome climatérico, ovarios poliquísticos, función tiroidiana en la mujer y sistemas farmacológicos para inducir la ovulación.
