L'utilisation de toile de coco dans les ouvrages de protection des berges

Abstract

Depuis quelques années, les géotextiles naturels à base de coco ou de jute sont utilisés lors de la restauration des berges par les techniques biologiques ; ils permettent ainsi d'élargir le champ d'application de ces techniques. Dans cette perspective, nous présentons deux exemples d'utilisation de la toile de coco en protection de berges soumises au marnage d'un lac (Lac d'Issarlès) et d'un fleuve (le Rhône). De telles techniques, respectueuses de l'environnement sont amenées à se généraliser ; l'action stabilisatrice de la végétation ainsi implantée, avec un minimum d'entretien, s'intensifiera avec le temps et contribuera à la protection et la valorisation du site.
