Mallas intraperitoneales y adherencias

Abstract

Los autores realizaron un estudio prospectivo y pareado de la reacción plástico adherencia/ frente a dos mallas protésicas intraperitoneales. Se utilizó como animal de experimentación, 20 perros mestizos que se abordaron por laparotomía mediana y se colocó una malla de polipropileno a la derecha y una de poliglactina 91 O a la izquierda, en la cara profunda del peritoneo parietal anterior. Se analizó la presencia y firmeza de adherencias viscerales frente a ambas mallas. Los resultados, analizados mediante el test de x2 mostraron diferencias significativas en cuanto a la formación y firmeza de las adherencias frente a cada una de las mallas, siendo éstas más frecuentes y firmes frente a la de polipropileno.
