
La autora propone que el muralismo mexicano es un discurso sobre el mito y la historia o, lo que se ha denominado, historia mitificada. El muralismo mexicano revela como la tradición occidental del cuatrocento se ha visto influenciada por los códices prehispánicos. La pintura mural es un fenó- meno vivo y presente en cuentos y leyendas que la gente usa para justificar acciones y costumbres.
