Abstract

O presente estudo analisa os conceitos empresa cidadã e/oucidadania corporativa, discute a possibilidade de a empresa ser considerada um sujeito ético e como ela pode ajudar na luta pelo bem comum. Para tanto, por meio do método monográfico, analisa o conceito de empresa para o ordenamento jurídico brasileiro. Discute os limites e o alcance do significado decidadania corporativa. Debate se a cidadania corporativa deve ser vista como uma imposição legal ou se se trata de política econômica da empresa. Conclui que as empresas são um fim social, pois proporcionam à sociedade os bens sociais, assim a cidadania corporativa decorre desua própria função social. O fim da humanidade é a busca pela felicidade, que apenas as pessoas naturais podem alcançar, todavia as organizações têm o dever de proporcionar o bem comum, sob pena de não terem legitimidade no meio social noqual estãoinseridas.
