A "sensibilidade elementar"

Abstract

Investigaremos os principais argumentos apresentados pelo pensador de origem suíça do século XIX, Maurice Pradines, o qual influenciou grandemente outros pensadores, que se interessaram pelo tema da “sensação”, sob o viés da “sensibilidade elementar” que é tanto ética quanto estética. Trata-se de mostrar como se constitui a “sensibilidade elementar” em Pradines, o qual entende a sensação não vinculada a elementos exclusivamente fisiológicos ou psicológicos, mas também caracterizada por uma inteligência singular, uma “inteligência da sensação”. Deste modo, uma investigação acerca da origem da atividade sensorial, sob a forma de uma “filosofia da sensação” é de fundamental importância para o entendimento de como o prazer e a dor encontram-se relacionados na experiência estética. Para tal, tomaremos como base a obra de Pradines que trata da sensação e que se encontra organizada em dois tomos: I) Le problème de la sensation (1928); e II) La sensibilité elémentaire. Este segundo tomo, por sua vez, distribui-se em dois volumes: 1) Les sens de la besoin (1932); e 2) Les sens de la défense (1934). Nossa pesquisa focará o segundo tomo de sua obra.
