El gobierno de las sin gobierno.

Abstract

En los últimos años, la preocupación por el gobierno de las non profit ha desencadenado una avalancha decontribuciones teóricas e iniciativas privadas tratando de clarificar el papel que desempeña en el control desus actividades. Sin embargo, estos estudios no indagan sobre la relación directa entre el gobierno de lasnon profit y sus niveles de eficiencia. Cuando se realiza este ejercicio para un conjunto importante de non profit españolas –las Organizaciones No Gubernamentales para el Desarrollo– se pone en duda que los órganos de gobierno estén respondiendo a las funciones de velar por el correcto funcionamiento de las organizaciones y garantizar el cumplimiento de su misión; y se evidencia que la participación de un donante institucional (AECI) constituye un mecanismo de control alternativo. Esta situación demanda de forma imperativa el fortalecimiento y la reestructuración de los órganos de gobierno de las ONGD.
