Anatomia da articulação do ombro de Sapajus libidinosus LINNAEUS, 1758 (Primates, Cebidae)

Abstract

As pesquisas de caráter são de conspícua importância para a preservação e proteção de animais, bem como para o entendimento de sua evolução. Assim objetivou-se descrever a anatomia da articulação do ombro do macaco Sapajus libidinosus. Foram utilizados oito ombros de macacos, procedentes do Laboratório de Anatomia da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia, cedidos pelo IBAMA. O preparo das peças anatômicas seguiu procedimentos usuais em Anatomia. Os resultados demonstraram que a articulação do ombro dos macacos S. libidinosus é frágil, e possui uma cápsula articular frouxa e delicada, contribuindo pouco para a estabilidade glenoumeral. Suas faces articulares compreendem a cavidade glenoidal e a cabeça do úmero, e o lábio glenoidal, quando presente, apresenta-se como uma estreita lâmina fibrocartilagínea. Os ligamentos coracoumeral e transverso do úmero estão presentes, entretanto, os ligamentos glenoumerais e coracoacrominal estão ausentes. Fortes tendões musculares atravessam a referida articulação e reforçam a capsula articular. Visto que os movimentos que a articulação do ombro do macaco S. libidinosus permite são amplos, o principal elemento de estabilidade desta articulação são os músculos adjacentes e seus fortes tendões.
