Abstract

El presente trabajo intenta bosquejar los modos de depredación de los bienes colectivos que se efectúa como consecuencia de las transformaciones del sistema capitalista a escala planetaria y sus consecuencias para Latinoamérica. En la dirección indicada se ha seleccionado la siguiente estrategia de exposición: 1) se presenta sumariamente una caracterización de la situación actual del capitalismo en Latinoamérica, 2) se sintetizan las conexiones entre bienes comunes, cambio climático, complejidad de la depredación del agua y comercio de agua virtual, y 3) se extraen algunas pistas para reflexionar sobre los desafíos que implica para la sociología lo anteriormente descripto. Se propone intensificar los procesos de reflexividad teórica y metodológica en la sociología que posibiliten una comprensión más profunda de los fenómenos expuestos.
