Efectos por salinidad en el desarrollo vegetativo

Abstract

Abstract The objective of this review is to present the problems generated by salt stress in various crops such as wheat, pepper, tomato, melon, broccoli, strawberries and chile ancho, as this difficulty is not only afflicting the agricultural sector, but all humanity, since the effects are reflected in many of the food that man consumes. Salinity is one of the abiotic factors that limit agricultural productivity in Mexico, where, from 29.3 million hectares are used for this activity, 500,000 are unproductive due to high salt concentration they have. The effects range from leaf necrosis, reduced crop growth, loss of germination capacity, condition in ethylene production, fruit weight reduction, among others. Keywords: salt stress, food, productivity .
