Abstract

Actualmente, la fecundidad adolescente en la Región Oriental del país –dentro de la cual se ubica al municipio Guamá– amerita múltiples miradas, pues se visualizan incrementos paulatinos en los niveles y el peso de la misma, superando a los mostrados por el país. El presente trabajo analiza la fecundidad del grupo de 15-19 años (fecundidad adolescente) por poseer un comportamiento peculiar en cuanto al aporte en cantidad de hijos en el territorio seleccionado. El mismo parte del análisis demográfico y emplea los datos recogidos en Anuarios Demográficos y Bases de Datos de Certificados de Nacimientos del municipio Guamá para los años comprendidos entre 2003-2012. A partir de esa información, se establecen subgrupos de edades al interior del grupo, y se pormenorizan en las edades simples. Las técnicas empleadas son el análisis de documentos y la entrevista. Los resultados permiten afirmar que el subgrupo de edad que más contribuye a la estructura de la fecundidad es el de 18-19 años, mientras que la edad simple es la de 19 años; mientras un elemento interesante es el uso de interrupciones de embarazos. En tanto, las características de estas madres son: acompañadas, desocupadas, de residencia rural y con secundaria terminada, como nivel educacional. At the moment, the adolescent fertility in the Oriental Region of the country, inside which is located the municipality Guamá, requires multiple looks, because gradual increments are visualized in the levels and the weight of the same one, overcoming those shown by the country. The present work, analyzes the fertility of the 15-19-year-old group (adolescent fertility) to possess a peculiar behavior as for the contribution in quantity of children in the selected territory. The same one, leaves of the demographic analysis and it uses the data picked up in Demographic Annuals and Databases of Certificates of Births of the municipality Guamá for the years understood among 2003-2012. Starting from that information, subgroups of ages settles down to the interior of the group, and they are itemized in the simple ages. The techniques employees are the analysis of documents and the interview. The results allow to affirm that the age subgroup that more it contributes to the structure of the fertility it is that of 18-19 years, while the simple age is that of 19 years; while an interesting element is the use of interruptions of pregnancies. As long as, the characteristics of these mothers are: accompanied, unoccupied, of rural residence and with finished secondary, as educational level.
