
O trabalho analisa a legislação bem como documentos produzidos pelo Ministério da Educação sobre o Fundo de Manutenção e Desenvolvimento do Ensino Fundamental e de Valorização do Magistério e acerca da remuneração/valorização docente, e conclui que as dificuldades de compreensão do tema originam-se, em boa medida, de formulações não uniformes na própria legislação e nos muitos equívocos contidos nos documentos oficiais que pretendem oferecer explicação e orientação.The article examines the legislation as well as documents produced by the Brazilian Ministry of Education concerning the Fund for Maintenance and Development of the Compulsory 8-year School Education and Valorization of Teaching Personnel and concerning teachers valorization and salaries and it concludes that the difficulties in understanding the subject derives a great deal from non-consistent wording in the legislation itself and from the many mistakes contained in official documents claiming to provide explanation and guidance.
