Michel Maffesoli e a pós-modernidade

Abstract

Qual o entendimento que se deve ter sobre a noção de “pós-modernidade”? Assumindo uma posição de clara extrapolação do campo da estética, é uma verdadeira consideração sociológica do termo que encontramos na obra de Michel Maffesoli. Depois de rapidamente apresentar suas noções centrais, anteriores ao emprego da noção, e indispensáveis para tornar sua compreensão assimilável – focando especialmente na questão da potência societal –, buscaremos apresentar, então, aquilo que ele entende por pós-modernidade e as principais características que a ela atribui, como também a maneira com a qual busca dar conta de uma teoria de mudanças e invariâncias nas sociedades humanas. A identificação da pós-modernidade com um “estado nascente” na contemporaneidade, marcado pela saturação da matriz prometeica e pelo ressurgimento do ideal comunitário, deverá ser vislumbrada ao fim do trabalho.
