Estomatitis aftosa recurrente según factores locales y generales

Abstract

Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y transversal de 60 pacientes con manifestaciones clínicas de estomatitis aftosa recurrente, atendidos en la consulta estomatológica del Policlínico "Carlos J. Finlay" del Municipio Songo-La Maya de Santiago de Cuba, desde noviembre del 2007 hasta julio del 2009. Entre las variables analizadas figuraron: grupos etarios, localización, factores locales y generales. En la serie predominaron el sexo femenino (63,3 %), el grupo etario de 15-34 años, el dolor (100,0 %) y los labios como el lugar de mayor localización de la enfermedad. Entre las causas primaron el trauma y las alteraciones por estrés. Se recomendó efectuar estudios en diferentes poblaciones para llevar a cabo acciones de promoción de salud y prevención de este cuadro morboso.
