Abstract

O presente estudo buscou avaliar e discutir as concepções de docentes e discentes sobre a escola em tempo integral no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, suas contribuições e desafios. A pesquisa atende aos requisitos de uma investigação qualitativa em educação, conduzida na Escola Estadual de Tempo Integral Senador Rui Palmeira, em Arapiraca-AL, surge da necessidade de compreender o cenário atual dessas instituições sob a perspectiva dos envolvidos. A análise revelou que, embora existam aspectos positivos, como em qualquer ambiente educacional, também há desafios significativos, especialmente na criação de um ambiente mais dinâmico e prazeroso para os alunos, visando evitar a sobrecarga durante sua jornada educacional diária.
